Who we are

This policy covers deftgoods.com, which is run by Deft Goods LLC, a Colorado limited liability company. Questions about your information go to support@deftgoods.com or by mail to the address at the end of this page.

What we collect

• What you give us: your name, email address, shipping address, the products you order, and what you write to us by email or in a chat with Fitz.
• When you call us: your phone number, a recording and transcript of the call, and any message you leave with Fitz, such as your name, the number to call you back on, your email and what you need.
• Payment details: your card is entered on our payment processor's secure form and processed by them. We don't receive or store your full card number. If you pay by card, our payment processor keeps it on file for our store, so that an add-on right after you pay can be one tap. We never charge it unless you tap.
• What your browser sends: your IP address and basic browser information, which every website receives, and the cookies and local storage described below.
• From delivery services: shipping and delivery status for your packages.

How we use it

• To take, ship and support your orders, including order, shipping and tracking emails.
• To answer your questions by email, in a chat or on the phone, and to call you back when you leave a message.
• To prevent fraud and keep the site secure.
• To meet legal, tax and accounting requirements.
• To email you once when checkout opens, if you leave your address for that.
• To send news and offers, only if you ask for them. You can unsubscribe from those anytime.

Fitz, our support assistant

Fitz is an AI assistant. To answer you, what you type to Fitz is sent to the AI service providers that power it. We keep chat conversations so we can follow up and improve our answers. Please don't share card numbers, passwords or health information in a chat.

Fitz also answers our phone, (719) 341-4400. When you call, you are talking with Fitz, an AI, not a person. Calls may be recorded and transcribed, and what you say is sent to our phone service and to the AI voice service that powers Fitz on the phone. If you leave a message, we keep your name, the number to call you back on, your email and what you need, so a person can call you back. Please don't share card numbers, passwords or health information on a call.

Who we share it with

We share information only with the companies that help us run the store, and only what they need to do their job:

• payment processing,
• shipping carriers and our label service,
• email delivery,
• website hosting and security,
• our phone service,
• the AI services behind Fitz, in chat and on the phone.

We may also share information when the law requires it, to protect our rights or our customers, or as part of a sale or transfer of our business. We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it for targeted advertising.

Cookies and local storage

We use only what the site needs to work: a cookie that keeps a Fitz chat together for a day, and your browser's local storage to remember your cart. We don't use advertising or analytics trackers. Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address when you visit.

How long we keep it

We keep order records as long as we need them for your orders and for tax and accounting, usually 7 years. We keep support emails, chats and the messages you leave with Fitz for up to 3 years, unless you ask us to delete them sooner and the law allows it. Recordings and transcripts of calls are deleted 90 days after the call. If you leave your email address to hear when checkout opens, we keep it until we have sent that email or you ask us to remove it.

Your choices

You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we have about you, or to stop marketing emails. Email support@deftgoods.com from the address on your order. We'll confirm it's you and answer within 45 days. We honor these requests for every customer, whatever state you live in.

Security

Every page on deftgoods.com is encrypted with HTTPS. Access to customer information is limited to the people and services that need it.

Children

Our store is for adults. It isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll tell customers by email before it takes effect.
